The heater was only on for a minute or two before this happened

Update. I took the manifold off and the back plate is melted. The manifold seems to be fine though. What could cause this?

I’m not sure of the age. I was told it worked but it was already uninstalled when I bought it so I got a deal on it

Could a stuck thermal regulator cause enough pressure build up to make the manifold leak?

Yes I believe it was coming from water dripping from the manifold. It was white smoke

I installed a new board today and it seems to work. But now I have a new problem. The unit kicked on and ignited but seemed to put off a lot of heat quickly and now the manifold is leaking and causing smoke. The unit is saying the temp is 126.

There is one in place

When it first turns on all the lights on the back of the board light up and then go off when the front display goes off

I just purchase a used sta rite 400 and after getting everything plugged and wired up I tried cutting it on and it shuts off after just seconds. I do not hear anything kicking on. It lights up says “128 R13” and then the lights go off and it won’t do anything. Any help would be much appreciated.
