Do you have a 6 position valve? If yes select waste that should by pass filter. If not open your filter drain and let the algae slime drain out that way. May have to connect a drain line.

Filter media is clogged. Backwashing will not resolve. Must Clem filters manually. I would bypass filter and put all the algae down your sewer clean out.

My Sta-Rite pus/pull valve 263053 handle snapped off with part of the shaft. The shaft is stuck in housing, any possible ides to removing it. I have had to clean and grease this valve monthly otherwise it would have broke sooner. The stainless roll pin even broke.Any ideas on how to remove it.
