Muriatic Acid vs. Dry Acid for Spa

I thought it was frowned upon from pool stores trying to get your $$$ for ph down .... for real (can't say anything about spas, but i used muriatic acid for years in the pool). Now i have a giant spa.

    crack in concrete & trim

Black lines is where the cracks in the vermiculite / concrete floor are.. It goes from this corner in the deep end all the way to the shallow end to the jet. The steel wall is separating/buckling from the bottom, right where the pool floor starts. I can fit 2 fingers in it. Its like there is...

    Pulling up concrete deck

What do you mean bonded? I'm also not sure where my bond beam is. Are you guys talking about the where the concrete attaches to the coping.? I think I'll be replacing the coping all around depending on price. It will probably be something for interlocking stone. - - - Updated - - -...

    Pulling up concrete deck

I managed to get one corner out. I found concrete sonotubes that we're attached to the concrete deck. When I was smashing the concrete deck I saw the concrete pillar move up and down. The back fill is sand and not gravel. I have 1 piece of 1/4" rebar on the outer edge of the concrete. I still...

    Pulling up concrete deck

Hey, I'm about to under take a big pool reno. Just curious if there is anything to worry about when removing a concrete deck around an inground pool. Do i have to drain the pool to do this? Will the sides collapse? How long can i leave the pool without concrete around it?

    crack in concrete & trim

Here's a pic of my pool and the neighbors. The tree is in the middle. I though the tree might be causing some issues, but i'm seeing some movement on the other corner of the pool. Funny that the neighbor's pool is doing exactly the same thing as mine.

    crack in concrete & trim

See that's the funny thing, my neighbour has a pool with the same problem as mine on the corner that is beside my crappy corner. There is a tree (giant weed) between our 2 corners. So I wonder if that's adding to the problem/cause of the problem. Another thing to add, I think they...

    crack in concrete & trim

Few years later and I haven't got off my butt to fix. Now I need to since the crack is moving along the bottom, at the stairs and by the fence and the steel wall piece appears to be sinking in the corner. I have requested a few quotes and they are in my opinion really high. I had one with...

Swg vs robotic vacuum which would you chose

Yeah I know they won't cure all problems... But limit them.. Well I'm not 100 % sure I'm in an Alger bloom, I.ve never had FC =0 but 1 I put a whole bunch of soil around the pool and it has been blowing in for 4 weeks . When I backwash the sight glass is brown. The water has been blue but...

Swg vs robotic vacuum which would you chose

Hello all If you had a choice between the 2 which would you choose..? I currently have an Alger bloom, and my kreepy isn't doing a good job cleaning the whole pool, mind you it's probably 5 years old. Either buy a swg and possibly a new kreepy or only a robot under 1k? Keep in mind I'm...

    algae infested water on grass

Hello, I have a neighbor that has a algae infested pool, it's actually black. He's vacuuming up the water and pouring it on his grass, and some of the water is running onto my grass. Is there any harm to my grass? My grass is already %50 weeds, and I'm trying to plant new grass. There is a...
