I bought one of these as it came recommended by a few members here. It comes with 3 different buffer solutions for calibration. I also bought some 8.2 pH buffer solution to spot check the accuracy and it has been dead (to 2 decimal places) on for over 1 month without needing recalibration...

40 lbs. of salt will raise your salinity by 200 ppm. If you 2700 ppm measurement is good you'll need a couple 40 lb. bags. Go here to see how much FC you need based on your CYA level:

Understood. If I'm tracking, the pool doesn't leak when the pump is off and skimmer/returns are plugged. As stated earlier, at least you know your next test cases: 1) Pump OFF (skimmer/returns NOT plugged) 2) Pump OFF (skimmer/returns plugged) to see if you can duplicate the winter results
