    Leak in a new construction

We had a leak in our newly built pool from the beginning. It was traced (after many months) to the pluming connection between the pipes and the jet housings in the spa. They ultimately found it with an ultrasonic leak detector. It was a long process though. Obviously every case is different, but...

New Member, First Build...What have we gotten into?

Just something I'd like to throw out there: I know you are neck deep in the process here and there have been frustrations aplenty, but good gravy look at this thing. It's going to be awesome. Take a deep breath, stand back and look at the bigger picture - it will be great and your will have tons...

Build in Progress - Houston area

Cool. I'm glad its a good grill. I did some research on built in grills, but not as much as I probably should have. They had a pretty decent price on a package deal with the Cal Flame G5 grill at DIYBBQ, but it is 430 stainless and I wanted 304 so I managed to upgrade to the P5 and swap some...

Build in Progress - Houston area

I am assured that the big palm's roots grow downward, not outward. They are also not too water hungry, relatively speaking. For the smaller ones, those are queen palms which do have roots that extend outward but they are described as "non-invasive." I made sure there was no plumbing anywhere...

Thanks, we may need to do that. I just bought my stuff, but it hasn't arrived yet. I think we have the same grill. I got the Cal Flame P5. It looks like you might have the P4 from your pictures!

Yep, we are indeed. I just checked out your build thread and recognized it as one I was looking at while figuring out what we wanted to do. I'll be starting on my "outdoor kitchen" (really more just a grill island) in the next couple weeks. Yours looks awesome!

What are your thoughts on this?

I just ordered the stuff for my basic grill island. I went with a Cal Flame package they had at DIYBBQ. So I'll be doing all the assembly and finish work on it myself. Prices for a contractor to do it were just more than I was willing to spend, although even doing it mostly yourself is not cheap!

Excavation In Texas has begun! OB~ will Post Pictures as we go~first pool ever~

Re: Didn't learn how to build Pool's in Law School but I'm going to give it my Best! Good luck with this process! Your pictures don't appear to be visible (to me anyway). Make sure your permissions allow anyone to see them (also use the image tag to embed them in your post instead of them just...

This sounds like my experience. They starve you of information so badly that even getting to chat with the guy is like a cool drink in the desert! Just sit back and realize this will all be behind you soon!

New Build, getting close to done… sort of… TONS of pics!

I understand! We've been doing the same ever since our pool got finished! I'm looking into outdoor kitchen now too. I just want something simple, basically a grill island. I found that companies who build these things want top dollar. There's an online place I found that makes the modular...

New build, south Houston area (League City)

Wow, I've never seen anything with elevations like that around here. It's the perfect spot for an infinity pool. I just didn't think there were places around here where that type of pool could work, but yours will be awesome with the wooded area back there.
