Jandy PLC1400 Corrosion at terminals and power cord

It's been working so far except like I said the power cord went bad and was throwing errors. I thought the cell is finally dead but wanted to see if it's just power cord or cell. I replaced the cord today and the cell as per system is working. I will know better after I can measure the chlorine...

Jandy PLC1400 Corrosion at terminals and power cord

MODEL PLC1400 S/N: A07GH2555 11089403 41089300A I think I'm my other thread you mentioned that it's much older cell, it still running so haven't found the need to replace although it is not outputting at the same level. I have a pool warranty so hoping they will replace when it does die 😁

Jandy PLC1400 Corrosion at terminals and power cord

Cell or the Cable, don't wanna jinx it but it's been going 5+ years now... Going to check after running it all day today to see if it's still generating chlorine...

Jandy PLC1400 Corrosion at terminals and power cord

Yeah not replacing the cell yet! Got the new cable and replaced it and looks like cell is back up and running. Let's see how long this goes. Any black Friday sales on Jandy PLC 1400?? 😁

Jandy PLC1400 Corrosion at terminals and power cord

Ah ok so the screws removed should free up the base holding prong but looks like due to corrosion it's not coming out! I guess best bet is to try with the new cable and see if the cell goes further.

Hello, I have an old Jandy PLC 1400 that is almost end of life and I am trying to just see how long j can extend it's life especially being the winter season. Lately the cell started to throw error and I noticed the power cord seems to have some issue and I noticed corrosion at the middle...

VS pump speed - how to determine?

Just wanted to say this thread info seems like will help me with my new VSP and Aqualink set up. Have to figure out how to configure. Also I have a similar set up where my spillover runs all the time raising my pH and I always wondered if there is a way I stop it. Perhaps pictures of my set up...

Jandy Stealth Dead, Need to Upgrade, Seeking Input!

So quick question, any guides on what speeds and schedule I can run so as to.minimize my electric $$$ and still have efficient turnover? I am thinking running for 12 hours with 2-3 hrs at 2850 rpm and then perhaps bring it down to 2000 rpm and see how that goes?

Jandy Stealth Dead, Need to Upgrade, Seeking Input!

The upgrade went fine! Pump is very quiet, I asked him to leave my old Aqualink antenna too and god thing is my PDA works besides the app. The options also updates on PDA also changed and I am able to change speed. Question, what speed should I set them? Right now pool is set to run at 2850...

Jandy Stealth Dead, Need to Upgrade, Seeking Input!

Ok I spoke to him today and dropped the price to $1800 installed for both which is still higher than the 1 and 2 but since he already knows the equipment and work and is doing the work with the insurance, I figured its ok. I only wish he was more upfront with reasonable pricing because even #1...

Jandy Stealth Dead, Need to Upgrade, Seeking Input!

Ok quick Yelp quote from 2 guys told me Quote 1. $3700 installed Quote 2: $2250+$1650 installed Seems like the guy I have now is charging almost $1000 more. May be I need to call my insurance and check what they might payout price! Then I can go with anyone I suppose!
