It was initially on full and my first test about 2 weeks after moving in was 18.5 FC. I would guess it is approx 40-50% currently (it just has a scale of lights no % reading, 5 or 6 lights from memory)

I've just been trying to find the time to drop the pH and start getting things in balance. I dropped the SWG a notch yesterday after it climbed to 7.5 from 6.5, but I'm apprehensive about throwing in acid when the pool is in use and I've had a couple of evening things on. Fingers crossed...

I was finding with the FC test this happened from time to time, but as I have gained a little more experience (and I mean a little - daly testing for week!) it has improved. When it happened to me, I made a note of how many "half" drops there were and took a reading as if they were full drops...

Steve I have the CCL pH test. I am finding it hard to read because the sample level is only about a third of the way up the tube with the comparator label all the way up the tube. They have increased sensitivity to 0.2. I am hoping to get more used to it as I gain experience being a novice pool...
