IntelliPH maintenance - replace white tube only or some other parts?

Thank you for all info. Yeah, it would be probably better to order whole assembly and keep it in case something fails. What about the black tubing? Should I wait till it starts degrading in a visible way or should this be replaced even if it looks good? Anyone here with a bad experience? ;)

High CH level (800+) for very long time - am I risking something?

Thank you for confirming my suspicions! All make sense (as usual here :)). I usually play with calculator to see "what if" so I will have to monitor it to see if I'm getting into the danger zone and exchange some water as Mike mentioned, earlier than later. I will definitely look into the water...

IntelliPH maintenance - replace white tube only or some other parts?

Every source is advising to replace the white roller pump tube every year. A bit strange because my tube looks brand new after almost 1.5 year of running every day. Reading here I see that Stenner econ pump head is exactly the same (Pentair is not really Pentair) so it could be purchased for a...

Why is "Acceptable" CH range only 150-250ppm for Pebblesheen?

I would point out here to that you are checking LSI. There is a very important difference between CSI and LSI. The rest I will leave to you. I started following CSI rigorously after first 30days and I enjoy very clear and trouble-free pool since...

High CH level (800+) for very long time - am I risking something?

Hi, I noticed very high Calcium level in last months and I'm asking myself if I'm risking something playing that game, am I? My current readings are pH: 7.7, TA: 70, CH: 875, CYA: 70, Salt: 3050, Temp: 58 >> CSI: - 0.01 Generally pool was finished about 1.5 year ago. From start CH was slowly...

    closing pool in SoCal?

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I understand that people go through closing procedure mainly in places where freezing temperatures exists, right? Is there any advise for places like San Diego, where water temp goes down to around 50? Any restrictions on SWG? (Pentair IC40). Electricity is not...

looking for feedback about Consolidate Manufacturing solar heaters

Yeah, I noticed that kind of "nice" differences. Once huge difference is the panel itself. Heliocol panel has separated tubes where the Consolidated_M is glazed (insulated) type, so all tubes are molded. I don't think I can repair single tube but I can hope they will not break easily. Not sure...

looking for feedback about Consolidate Manufacturing solar heaters

Anyone with experience or opinion about Consolidate Manufacturing solar panels? They are generally cheap but I don't want to install something and very soon discover some serious flaws so looking for reviews. Solar heater - will it work?

@mas985 I see there the data for South facing elevation angle. I guess with my roof facing north and pitch 5/12 I could probably just select one of the lowest numbers. My guess is, that in my situation it's just similar to the version when the sun hits the panels at strong angle instead of...

Solar heater - will it work?

Thank you Mark. Seeing your information I started researching some other options, like building a carport in the front of the house (south). Nope, zoning and city rules will not allow for it. So water is getting colder (78) and I'm back here to figure everything out. I like your spreadsheet...

Is this algae? how to remove it?

so what would be the correct action here? according to the TFP my ideal chemistry (now I cannot find it quickly) should be pH 7.8, TA 80, CYA 70, CH 350, and for Salt 3750 and Temp 84 it gives me CSI = - 0.01 if I go with pH just one step down to 7.6 automatically I'm landing with CSI = - 0.2
