Winterization Idea...Am I Crazy for Thinking This Will Work?

I use milk jugs filled 3/4 of the way with water and tie them all the way around the cover. This gives it tension but won't pull on the pool itself. Heavy snow will push the cover down but when it thaws, the jugs add enough tension to tighten the cover back up and drain the water off.

Winterization Idea...Am I Crazy for Thinking This Will Work?

Water buildup on my winter pool cover has always driven me crazy. Last fall, I inflated about 15, 36" yoga balls and floated them in my pool and put the cover over those. I keep my pool completely full with a skimmer plug so it basically tents the cover. The balls for the most part allowed the...

    Can't keep pump primed

I am having an issue with getting air out of my system/keeping the pump primed. I added a solar controller this spring so I did adjust the plumbing from last year but I don't see how that could be causing the issue. I have checked all the connections and used silicone grease on the gaskets to...

Unleveled Pool 1.75-1.85 Inches Please Help!!!

My old pool was a 12' Intex pool so it was smaller but I did the same thing. I put wood blocks under the legs and had no issues. That being said, I would definitely check them periodically for any movement. My two kids used to get that 12' pool looking like a wave pool and the legs never came...

High Alkalinity but good PH levels.

Hi, I had to refill my pool this spring, 11,000 gallons, and my PH is reading 7.6 but my TA is 400. I filled the pool from my well that has hard water. I looked up lowering the TA but it seems like it would take a dangerous amount of muriatic acid to get it down. Thoughts?

Reduced Flow Rate When Running Through Solar Panels

Never thought of doing them parallel. Does anyone have any pictures of how they plumbed theirs in parallel? I'm going to look at mine tomorrow and start drawing out how I could do it but some existing setup photos may help.

Reduced Flow Rate When Running Through Solar Panels

I've attached a diagram that shows how I have my solar panels plumbed. The panels are 4' off the ground on the high side and about 1' off the ground on the low side. The intake for the solar panels is at the same level as the intake to the pool. I no longer run two pumps. I had that on my old...

Reduced Flow Rate When Running Through Solar Panels

Hi, I just invested in a Pentair solar controller and while it is being shipped, I changed the plumbing from my pump to get ready to install it. When I did a manual test run, my flow rate dropped dramatically. Before, the flow into the pool was almost as strong as a hot tub jet. I couldn't even...
