We have a 18 x 33 Oval shaped above ground pool. We are looking at purchasing a solar cover and reel. My husband has been checking on the reels and is concerned about how well the reels hold up. Any recommendations on a good reliable reel?

A round pool would not fit in our backyard. No regrets!

I added stabilizer this evening using a sock in front of the return. I did not notice that the sock on a hole in it and now some of the stabilizer is sitting on the bottom of the pool. Should I be worried about this? I did try to move it around but could not reach all areas.

This is my second season of using Target brand of bleach and have not had any problems.

I totally agree, BBB does Rock!!! I opened my pool over the week-end here in Middle Tennessee. The water temp was in the 50's, the water just as clean and clear as it was in October when we closed.

The wrap we bought at the PS has not come loose the two years we have used it. I had also heard you have to use the wrap that is made for outside something about UV.

We have used it here in Middle Tennessee for the past two years. I think it helps to keep the cover in place, we do not have a problem with leaves, etc. blowing up under the cover. We don't skimp on it, and buy the shrinkwrap made for outdoor use. Can't hurt to try it!
