Need advice on Green pool w/45PPM FC and Off the charts High CYA

I think this is impossible in AZ. Our water table is too low. I had mine drained from late Oct 14 until Mar 15 until my replaster was done, and nothing happened.

    Bleach Prices 2015

It started on Tuesday, but I don't get the paper, so I get these things as part of a local supplement that comes on Wednesdays. The price is good through Sunday.

In today's mail was a flyer from Ace Hardware. The 10% HTH liquid chlorine is a box of 2 gallons for $5.00. Could be nationwide or just local to Phoenix.

Caretaker system is not rotating through the zones

I have an infloor, but not your brand. I had a screen in front of my rotating mechanism. The grit from the house shingles would get into the pool after rains. It would settle in the pump basket, and some would work their way through the system during back wash. The were just the right size...

    CYA levels keep declining...

IMPOSSIBLE! The clerks at Leslie's told me that their tabs have no to very little CYA unlike all those other brands out there. ;)

Very green lagoon style pool - helping friend learn TFPC and getting control of pool

I'd drain the spa into the pool, clean the spa, and then refill it with the hose. If you maintain the CL, it may get dusty, but you won't have to worry about any plaster damage because it was dry too long.

If the store didn't ask, ask to join the HASA rewards program. They email them to me every two weeks. As it stands, there is no reason to pay anything more than "buy 3 get 1 free" because the coupons come frequently enough.

    LA's Totally Awesome Bleach

Yes, and I also found that there was a second MSDS that listed it at 5.25% so it's not conclusive.

Try to use these coupons for your HASA http://files.ctctcdn.com/b1351a14101/17d4917f-532f-4f95-8af3-d62f5e65c40a.pdf We already had a post that Corson's doesn't care if the coupon is expired. NPS is $4.95/2 gal and Leslie's will price match (same brand) but the Leslie's I've been to require...

New Pool Owner in Mesa, AZ

I use the NPS ad to price match the muratic acid at Leslie's simply because the Leslie's is closer to me. The Leslie's also carries the same brand of 10% chlorine that NPS has and will price match that too. However, the HASA chlorine is a minimum of 12.5% (17% when first delivered) as in more...

New Pool Owner in Mesa, AZ

I think you mean SODIUM hypochlorite. While you can use bleach from the store, the cheapest source I've found is through here. There's two distributors in Mesa, but maybe one of the ones in Tempe or Scottsdale will be closer to you http://www.hasapool.com/dealer_locator_hasa.php then check...

    Bleach Prices 2015

Easy $15 at Leslies. Update your pool profile for $10 (two $5 coupons) and take a sample in for testing for $5. The coupons get emailed to you within 24 hours. Get $15 in chlorine or something else you need. I used mine for acid that I price matched to NPS for $6.39 for two cartons of two...

The HASA distributor I go to told me today that it doesn't matter if the coupons are expired, but you do have to print them out (I was hoping I could just show them on my phone from now on). The store sends them in to HASA so they don't have to eat the full cost of the promotion.

How do people go years with no problems using pucks?

While visiting my sister in FL, she and I were draining anywhere from 1" to 2" per week out of her pool from the rain. I was so crazy jealous because I figured she could dump whatever she wanted in her pool and eventually it was going to come out. I didn't bother to steer her towards bleach...
