Intex metal frame pool pump flow loss within 24 hours of filter change

You should have no need to shock the pool if you keep your chlorine level where it should be. You have to allow for the level to drop off every day in the summer heat so if you only bring the level up to its bare minimum it will fall below every day before you put more chlorine in, and that will...

Kids creating waves in pool. Can it collapse?

I wouldn't worry at all, we've had three above-ground pool with lots of kids in them all and none every collapsed. My son and his friends used to get the trampoline and drag it over by the pool and jump into it from there, creating huge waves. No issues.

What to get for a successful-fun-low worry-new AGP

We bought a Lomart Verona from Pool Supply World and we got the liner there also. We bought a pump and filter from Sunplay. We paid a company to come and level the ground and install it, they did all the work. It was a 33-foot pool and with all our expenses plus the install it was about $4000...

Is this a reasonable ABG/deck cost estimate?

I mean I honestly would not spend 52k on an above ground pool.

    New to pools! Feeling overwhelmed!

Don't worry, it's really easy actually. I didn't know anything at all about maintaining a pool and (thanks to this site) I've had no issues in two years. :)

    Help please, doughboy or radiant?

    New Overwhelmed Pool Owner

Pucks are useful for increasing your CYA if it gets low. We are having a lot of rain here so I have to keep draining water out of the pool (causing CYA to lower) and so I've had pucks floating for weeks. Just check CYA level to be sure it's not getting high. They are also useful for lowing Ph.

My water is almost 100 degrees!

I second the advice of trying another thermometer, we are in central Florida and 94 is icky, even 90 feels like bath water. I've never seen our pool above 94 no matter how high the temps have been outside.

    Very First Pool Help?

Our Intex was 2 inches out of level for over a year until we upgraded and it was fine (not saying all pools out of level are fine, just that ours was). So we upgraded and paid someone to install, now we have a level pool. :-)

New to pool and contemplating 24 foor vs 27 foot pool

We have a 33' and I would not want anything smaller, it's great. I would definitely go 27'.

    Online pool companies

I just looked at the Pro Pools site and would have no problem ordering from them, they look fine to me (just my opinion of course). We bought a Lomart pool from Pool Supply World (Lomart is also made by the Doughboy company) and we love it, it's a fantastic sturdy pool and exactly like one of...

    semi-inground pool (head is spinning)

The Pool Factory is a legit and good company, we ordered some supplies from them and considered ordering our pool there but ended up with one from Pool Supply World and had it installed last August, replacing an Intex. Total cost for pool, liner, filter, etc, plus install was only around $4500...

Getting ready to buy a new pool. Please double check I'm not missing anything

My pool installer said overlap isn't easier, he preferred unibead.

    Hurricane Matthew

I got rid of all my leaves with the robot. Pool was 79 degrees today, felt super cold! Us Florida people are wimpy I guess!
