I wouldn't worry at all, we've had three above-ground pool with lots of kids in them all and none every collapsed. My son and his friends used to get the trampoline and drag it over by the pool and jump into it from there, creating huge waves. No issues.

Don't worry, it's really easy actually. I didn't know anything at all about maintaining a pool and (thanks to this site) I've had no issues in two years. :)

We have a Lomart, love it, great pool.

Pucks are useful for increasing your CYA if it gets low. We are having a lot of rain here so I have to keep draining water out of the pool (causing CYA to lower) and so I've had pucks floating for weeks. Just check CYA level to be sure it's not getting high. They are also useful for lowing Ph.

I second the advice of trying another thermometer, we are in central Florida and 94 is icky, even 90 feels like bath water. I've never seen our pool above 94 no matter how high the temps have been outside.

Our Intex was 2 inches out of level for over a year until we upgraded and it was fine (not saying all pools out of level are fine, just that ours was). So we upgraded and paid someone to install, now we have a level pool. :-)

The Pool Factory is a legit and good company, we ordered some supplies from them and considered ordering our pool there but ended up with one from Pool Supply World and had it installed last August, replacing an Intex. Total cost for pool, liner, filter, etc, plus install was only around $4500...

Pucks can be used as long as you're using them for a specific purpose, i.e. right now I'm floating pucks because my CYA is a little low.

Publix was $2.39 yesterday for Publix brand regular, no sale mentioned, looked like a regular price tag. It's normally $2.85-ish though. I took all they had on the shelf which was 8.

Thanks, I saw that liner online last year and never found anything I liked better. Pool is almost filled, have another 6-8 inches to go. Next project will be putting back all the displaced dirt around the it. They told us to leave it until the pool was filled as they didn't want to put pressure...

That looks a lot better than I expected for a pool service that comes once a week.

We had our Lomart pool (33' round) installed yesterday, just sharing some photos of the installation. We purchased the pool from Pool Supply World and it was installed by Full Metal Shovel out of the Tampa area (they were fantastic).

I like the Saltwater 8000, it would be my choice of the two.
