    Air Leak?

Please don't make fun of my plumbing! I did some research and I'm wondering if I'm missing the check valve that is supposed to go between the pump and the filter. I don't recall ever seeing it when I've had the filter apart. This...

    Air Leak?

Check valves? I have a jandy valve on the vacuum side (skimmer and high return) and one on the pressure side (2 ports back into the pool). The pressure side one is relatively new, but the vacuum side one is pretty old.

    Air Leak?

Wouldn't a pressure side leak manifest as water shooting out somewhere?

    Air Leak?

I'm wondering if what I am experiencing with my pump is normal or not: When it is running at full speed, the basket fills with water and there are maybe just a few bubbles visible. As the pump speed slows, the basket fills with air, to the point where you can see the stream of water flowing...

Trouble With PureLine Salt Level Reading

Well that's good to know. I'll have to time it tomorrow and see if it adheres to the 90 minute schedule. I have it on 50%.

Trouble With PureLine Salt Level Reading

Just to follow up in case others find this thread later: Spoke to customer service at Inyo and they said that because I have a variable speed pump that runs at low RPM for part of the cycle, I needed to turn the cell so that the "hump" faces downward. This ensures that at low flow when the...

Trouble With PureLine Salt Level Reading

Interesting - mine is set on F-15, which corresponds to the 40k gallon according to http://images.inyopools.com/cloud/documents/crystalpure30saltsettings.pdf that. But that doesn't mention the 7707 model number. Did you install the PL7707?

Trouble With PureLine Salt Level Reading

I have not contacted Inyo yet; I figured I'd try to figure it out myself first. I've attached a pic of the state the unit when it isn't working.

Trouble With PureLine Salt Level Reading

I added a PureLine PL7707 SWG (PureLine Pool Salt System 40,000 Gallons Heavy Duty - PL7707 - INYOPools.com) this spring. From the time I installed it, the reading on the display for current salt level has been low compared to the reading I get when testing with the Taylor K-1766 kit. The salt...

Salt level accuracy - strips vs AquaRite

The cell is brand new, I just installed it myself a month ago.

Salt level accuracy - strips vs AquaRite

I've just converted to salt and had a similar question. I tested 4 different ways the other day and got: K1766 - 3200 ppm Pool Store - 3000 ppm Strip - 2700 ppm PureLine SWG - 2400 ppm I've since added 40 lbs of salt because all the readings were below where I want to be (3600 ppm). Sounds...

Why is higher CYA recommended with SWG?

I'm in the process of converting my pool to salt to start this season and I'm wondering why such a high CYA level is recommended with a SWG?
