    Recovery from flood

    It filters out for me. It takes a couple of days to get clear. This happened several times. Last time I just let the pump run on the normal schedule.

    I get it clear and then we get more rain. I am looking into get a cartridge filter. It should clear up just in time for more rain tomorrow. Yea! On the bright side, someone on FB marketplace is practically giving away a pentair clean and clear plus filter.

    Ok, it is a little clearer. It has a green tint to it. I back washed, vacuumed and brushed. The backwash sight tube was really dirty. 16 Fc 0.5 cc I added a gallon of 6% bleach. This usually raises my pool up 4ppm. I also added a cup of DE.

    I think the cartridge filter works better than a sand filter. That will be my next upgrade.

    I am in the same boat. We just got the pool clear from slamming. we got 5 inches of rain. My son and I were heartbroken when we saw the pool. We have been working hard on it. I will try to floc it this weekend. We will also do lots of backwash and vacuuming.
