    MasterTemp Unions

It looks like the actual Pentair unions will probably be my best bet. I was just hoping to avoid the proprietary fittings and paying the 'Pentair Tax'. But that's what it costs to play sometimes.

    MasterTemp Unions

So i have been battling a positive CSI all summer. I have high TA fill water and surprisingly stubborn PH that does not want to rise despite aeration. This makes controlling my CSI difficult and I did not have great success this summer. My SWG showed some signs of scale, so I wanted to...

    MasterTemp Unions

I was planning on doing this after I closed the pool for the season and had everything drained. I was going to run fresh water through it to flush out the descaling solution, but hen leave it dry until spring. Would that be OK, or should I wait until I open in the spring?

I was planning on just using a gallon of vinegar as that is what was suggested for my tank-less water heaters. Would that be advisable?

I will pick up some threaded 2" PVC fittings and give it a try. Even if it is not a perfect seal, as long as I can get the descaling solution to circulate, I'll be happy. I'll report back with my findings, but it may be a few days before I can get to it. Thanks for the help.

    MasterTemp Unions

So I need to by the unions (item 23)? Or can I unscrew the connector tube (item 14) and screw in a standard 2" NPT fitting? - Sorry, just saw your other reply. Thanks!

So those are a standard 2" NTP? I thought those would be proprietary as well. I can make that work then without having to by the unions. Why should I remove the thermal regulator?

    MasterTemp Unions

I am trying to make some fittings so I can descale my Pentair MasterTemp heater. I was wondering if anyone knows if the nuts for the union are a proprietary thread (like the Pentair salt cells), or if they are a standard thread that I could pick up at Home Depot. If they are proprietary, are...

It is listed on our invoice as ‘Onyx Black’.

    Bobe Fire and Water bowls

Yes, we have a saltwater pool and they still look good after 7 years. I don’t recall them mentioning problems with saltwater when we installed it, just problems with the coating adhering to the copper. I’m guessing as long as the coating does not get compromise, they should be fine.

    Bobe Fire and Water bowls

We installed a Bobe water pot when we built our salt pool back in 2016. By the next year, the coating was flaking off. It was a copper pot with the power coating just on the lip and outside. Bobe originally wanted to replace it with a stainless steel one and said they had issues with the...

    Pentair Mastertemp 250 not starting

All the wiring looks good, and no signs of any critters. I'll get a new box on order. Thanks for the help!

    Pentair Mastertemp 250 not starting

The air flow switch was open. I could not focus on work, so I ran out and went through the troubleshooting from the manual. I was not getting voltage to the blower, so I went back to the ignition control module per their proceedure. When I jumped F1 and F2 together, the blower started up...

    Pentair Mastertemp 250 not starting

I am having issues with my Pentair Mastertemp 250. When I opened, it started up and ran just fine for a couple of days and then I shut it down. Air temps have been a little cold for swimming until recently, so I did not have it running until today. I noticed that it was not on and saw a...
