    IC40 Chemical Question

I am reading in the IC40 manual that they recommend 1-3ppm of FC. It states anything over 3ppm could cause corrosion to pool metals and cause damage to associated items. Same with TA... the IC40 manual says 80-120ppm but it lists 60-80ppm here. Just want to make sure I do what is best for my...

    Hard water

We have very hard water in our area. Past experiences put my CH at the high end with city water. We are building a new pool and I was thinking of using 75% city water then 25% water from my water softener (separate bib). The first will be Stonescapes Mini Pebble by NPT. Any thoughts on this? I...

    Water Meter

We are having our pool built starting next month. That being said, I’d like to get a meter that is pretty accurate, without spending a fortune, that I can connect to the hose to measure that amount of water my pool holds when done. This will help with my chemical balances and adjusting in the...

    SOLD TF100 with speed stir

Where are people purchasing the Speed Stir? I bought my old TF100 many years ago with the Apollo Magnetic Stirrer... but we sold that house so I left it all with the home buyer. We are now building a new pool so time to catch up. :)

    Sanitary Help

Ok... Well I added 2 1/2 gallons which didn't seem to be enough so I added another 5 gallons of chlorine. After acouple of days I tested it just to see where it was. I was sitting at 5ppm so I went and got another 5 gallons and let it circulate for 24-48 hours with the pump running 24/7. I...

    Sanitary Help

Well she did it again.... Her mom gave her a laxative and it hit her all of the sudden. This time it was loose!! I vaccumed everything that went to the bottom then removed the filter and put a different one in. I then dropped in 2 1/2 gallons of chlorine. I left the pump on all night. Is there...

    Sanitary Help

OK... Thanks. Nothing got in the pool as it was contained within her bathing suit. I brought the chlorine up to 10 today (since that is all I had of the liquid) and ran the filter all night. Hopefully that will do the trick.

    Sanitary Help

OK... Not really sure where this falls so I thought I would post it here. Tonight while swimming, my 5 year old had a little accident in her pants. She went #2 a little bit. Being this is very unlike her, I am not sure what needs to be done to keep the pool sanitary. Any advice is welcome...

    SWG Problem

OK... Well after some research and work, it turns out that the cell was in fact bad. It also turns out that it was a 3 year cell which had 1 month warranty left on it!!! They came out and replaced the cell today... all I had to do was pay an $85 service call. :goodjob: Sometimes it pays to be...

    SWG Problem

Thanks waterbear!!! Yes, the CYA has just recently went down to this level due to the amount of water I have had to drain with that solid week of rain that week had, which I know you guys had too just 20 miles south of me :). Prior to that it was around 60-70. Within the past month, I bought a...
