Pentair Kreepy Krawley doens't seem to have as much pressure as it used to

Thanks for the info Allen. I ordered new wheels and bearings after a closer inspection this weekend - they were worn down quite a bit where the drive shaft contacts them, about the same as when I rotated them the last time. So that will likely make an improvement. The only other thing I noticed...

Pentair Kreepy Krawley doens't seem to have as much pressure as it used to

ajw22, I appreciate the feedback. Do you recommend Polaris over Pentair if I have to look at replacing it? Also, we tend to leave it in the pool all of the time since our cleaner is on a timer. So it probably gets exposed to chemical adjustments in the pool (don't know if that would shorten its...

Pentair Kreepy Krawley doens't seem to have as much pressure as it used to

I know the description is kind of vague, but my pool and cleaner and all equipment is about 6 years old. I keep all skimmers traps clean, clean/replace DE filter 2-3 times a year and just generally try and keep everything clean and working. At the beginning, the pool cleaner worked great...

    Waiting on wifi

Just wanted to circle back and verify that VPN was causing my issue as well. Once I turned that off, I was able to consistently connect over wifi. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Waiting on wifi

I have the ScreenLogic software installed on my Windows desktop and can connect to the adapter / system and make changes or monitor just fine. However, I can no longer connect my iPhone wirelessly to the system using the latest ScreenLogic Connect. It stopped working sometime in the past month...

Pentair FNS Plus with Pentair Separation tank - backwashing issues

I understand how to break it down and clean it. I suspect the way I am backwashing is not correct since hardly any of it ends up in the separation basket and the pool ends up cloudy.

Pentair FNS Plus with Pentair Separation tank - backwashing issues

I have followed my PB's written instructions for backwashing, but I strongly feel like I am doing something wrong. The instructions say to put the pump in service mode, pull the backwash handle up and run for one minute, then place the backwash handle back to the down position, run for a minute...

    SWG Pool and PH frustration

The water temp was 80 degrees yesterday. The couple of weeks before that, around 83.

    SWG Pool and PH frustration

We'll occasionally heat the pool at the beginning or end of season to get a few more swims in. But we are not constantly heating it.

    SWG Pool and PH frustration

I have not calculated CSI yet, I'll look at that a little closer. We have turned the scuppers off, but the spa overflow and bubbler is on the same line as the returns. I have checked the SWG cell several times and have not had any visible scale on the fins. As suggested in the manual, I diluted...

    SWG Pool and PH frustration

We had initially thought it was a PebbleTec product, but it turns out that isn't the case. It is: Stonescapes Mini Pebble by National Pool Tile. I will correct the information in the signature. We have had several meetings with the PB and the manufacturer and they are basically saying (in a...

    SWG Pool and PH frustration

Current TF-100 results are TC=6.5, TA=50, CAL=425, CYA=70, PH=7.8-8.0 Looks like recommended level for PH is supposed to be 7.2-7.6 My understanding is that I should get TA up a bit more into the 60-70 range. My thought is to add some baking soda to get that back up.
