New larger pump. Now vacume debris bag rips.

Yes that is the filter bag. I don't think I can reduce the pressure as it is a single speed pump.

New larger pump. Now vacume debris bag rips.

I have an Intex 18 x 52 agp and replaced the pump w a slightly larger one. Now the Intex vacume debris bags rip from the uncreased pressure. I have bought new ones and the same thing happens. I can't find heavier duty bags and they seem to have a proprietary ring and attachment.

Intex 14" sf15110 waste hose size?

I need to purchase a drain hose for the pump and don't know if it is 1.5 or 2 inch hose. I am just going to use flex hose and a hose clamp over the threaded end. Thanks.

    Drain or save?

Finally received the correct part. Ran pump for 12 hours and added 3.5 cups of bleach. Water looks much better but bottom, ladder, etc still have green slime. My TF test kit has also arrived. I plan to vacuum and run pump for another 12 hours as I reread pool school, break out the test kit and...

Leaf filter cover cracked: Temporary fix?

I over tightened trying to eliminate leak. Maybe the o-ring is faulty. The cap is cracked almost half way around where the threaded portion meets the top at a perpendicular. Just bought some locktite epoxy for plastics but doubt it will hold up to tightening and pressure. I imagine the crack...

Leaf filter cover cracked: Temporary fix?

The hard clear plastic cover for my Intex sand filter pre filter/leaf cover has cracked. I am ordering a new one but was looking for a temporary fix. I thought large hose clamp and piece of rubber but there is no shoulder on the housing below the threads. Any suggestions?

    Drain or save?

Bad news. Leaf filter cover is cracked so no circulation until replacement arrives. No local pool supply carries anything Intex.

    Drain or save?

Filled an 18x52 Intex above ground (6000 gal) w/swg and sand filter. No salt was added and pump developed a leak before I was called away for three weeks. Upon returning, water is lite green w app two feet of visibility and sides are moderately slimy. Pool is currently 3/4 full. Should I drain...

Upright support movement when filling Intex

18x52 Ultraframe While the pool is filling, do you constantly adjust the supports to assure they are vertical? After a certain amount of water is in there I assume it will be to heavy to adjust the supports.

Here are some pics of a jack-up method: http://www.levelgroundpool.com/images/jack-up-pool.JPG The google search function at the very bottom of the page using "jack leg" returns posts that have some very good advice.

How to position pavers for support legs?

Thanks for all the input. So I need to assemble the frame and place it on the pad to mark the block placements? The frame on my pool snaps together with flimsy plastic tension buttons and holes. I don't think I would want to try to move it once assembled especially with the liner attached so I...

How to position pavers for support legs?

18x52 Ultra Frame. I have leveled the ground in a 19' circle. From reading posts on this site I understand that something to increase surface area needs to be placed under the support legs to prevent sinking. I also understand that they need to be recessed to approximately .25" above the pad...
