My pool was 78 degrees today...the warmest yet this year. :whoot: It's been a cool spring in NoCal, it may have made 90 degrees today, for the first time this year. Normally we have had several days in the 90's by late May, but none this year.

The water was (mostly) clear. :mrgreen: Actually...it was clear, but as mentioned there were leaves and such still in the pool bottom. My sweep has been picking most of it up, baskets getting some too. I have noticed some debris in the cartridge when I wash it. But eventually the rinse off...

Since it was okay for the first four days (15-20 psi) I am assuming no blockage. I think I may not be taking care of the cartridge??? I will try TSP next. My pool was a lovely shade of green. I would add chemicals and the algae would laugh at me. :(

Just to follow up... The pump is so old, no one makes parts for it anymore...but my BIL did find someone in San Diego who has one...so it's in route. In the meantime, he epoxied that (for lack of a better term) collar back onto the diffuser plate and we re-installed it last night. I have...

My BIL and I looked at it tonight...the diffuser is broken. (see diagram, part broken is in blue) Now the question is...was it broken before I took the motor apart, or when I took the motor apart. :mrgreen: We had it pumping water once (so no clogged line)...but couldn't get it running...

The motor is running...it's just not sucking. :)
