Inusrance is paying to replace my pool filter, and I currently have the Hayward DE6020. I have seen the DE filters with with filter cartridge instead of the grid. Are they worth the extra money for the easier maintance? Or is there something else better that i am missing all together?

Yeah the pool putty was used before. Question, do you know why I couldn't use one of those pvc pipe cutters that work from the inside and cut out this fitting and replace it that way?

Hey, I have a return that is broken and leaking water. It is on a fiberglass pool and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how I should go about fixing this. In the past some one temporarily fixed it with some putty but that is leaking again. Thanks for any input

yes my timer controls both my low and high speed, but if running the pump on low speed is enough for my SWG then I will just wire it so it only comes on with the low speed. Thanks for the quick reply.

I know the measurements look big but the volume of the pool is 15k gallons. I know the nano plus will do up to 28k gallons and the small digital will do a 35k gallon pool, but what else is there about the digital that makes it 500 bucks more than the nano and is it worth it?

Yeah the Ozone thing really ticked me off when I started reading this forum, all it seems to do is pump these annoying bubbles into my pool. As for vacuuming any advice for how long or how many times a week I should do that?
