I passed an OCLT.... woo. I'm still going to hold SLAM for another day. Had FC of 20 (SLAM target) and CC of .5 after 13 hours. Last night around 8pm I tested the water and it needed some chlorine, but was otherwise good.

Okay, not far off of where I'm at right now. I currently run 12 hours a day, but I may break that up a little more to give some afternoon run time.

On another note, what is the best practices for figuring out run time and when the pump should run? If there is an article on this please feel free to point me to it. I did not see anything and I think this probably needs to be revisited before exiting SLAM.

Yes, pulled it completely out, pressure washed all of it front and back and the niche too. There is still some algae in the crevices and I can't get it out unless I'm willing to risk damaging the plaster.... which is in horrible shape. I did the best I could and the pool is still filling...

I pulled the plug using two crescent wrenches today... I was going to do a 40% water change to deal with CYA and decided to just do a total drain/fill and flush as much algae in the process as I can. I will refill and balance and go to SLAM until the algae is toast.
