I was wondering the same thing 440dodge440. I've notice my filter pressure drops about 5-6 PSI when I remove the eyeball from the return.

I did the usual cleaning and adding chemicals this morning however this afternoon while I was running the pump one of the hoses popped off the return fitting! So after fixing that I made a list of things I would need to hard pipe it this winter when we winterized it. Brian

Welcome to TFP! You're much farther ahead of the game than we were we when opened our pool for the first time.

I have the pool rover jr and we like it thus far. While backfilling around the pool my 11 yr put a whole scoop of sifted soil into the pool on accident and the rover got it all. My only dislike with it is that the cord seems to get tangled up. Other than that we really like it.

Good idea Pooldv. I'll do it again right before bed. It wouldn't hurt it to come down some IMO but it shouldn't hurt anything being at that level though either I wouldn't think.

Good to know, thanks Duraleigh. We added bleach and let the pump run for a couple of hours. We just got done testing everything and this is where we are after the additional chlorine. FC - 6 CC - .5 CYA - 50 TA - 120 PH - 7.6 Water temp is around 88-90 and clear.

We've been having to add water to the pool about once a week due to evaporation because our pool gets full sun from about 9:00 AM until sunset so we can slowly reduce the cya if we need to that way and I don't mind draining some of it to achieve ideal numbers.

Duraleigh I've already removed them per your recommendation. I'm just waiting on the dispenser to dry before I put everything in the mechanical room for the summer. Good thing I bought some extra bleach this morning at Wal-Mart. :)

The tablets where part of a "synergy clear" package my wife came home with when we filled the pool and opened a few weeks ago. I'm curious if they add chlorine and CYA to the pool why could our initial numbers been FC -2 or less and CYA - 22-25. We've been using about 12 of the small tablets...
