    Brass Pipe Connection

I need to reroute the pool light conduit up to a new junction box on a retaining wall closer to the pool. The light conduit from the wet niche is good 1/2 inch ID brass pipe. I need to cut into it where it is still below water level in the pool. I will drain the pool down, but I need to make a...

    GFCI Breakers

I need to thank you both for easily solving my problem. I went out and put all the new GFCI breakers back in except correctly connecting the neutral to the breaker this time. Everything is working perfectly, including the lights. And I now have full time power to an outlet in the light junction...

    GFCI Breakers

Thanks. If a breaker is supplying more than one piece of equipment via relay jumper wires, do the neutrals from each piece of equipment all go back to the N terminal of the breaker? Or is it best to have a separate breaker for each piece of equipment?

    GFCI Breakers

Oh Crud! Maybe that is it. Since the breaker has the neutral wire that connects to the neutral bar, I thought the neutral wire from my equipment went to the neutral bar as usual also. So I screw it directly to the "N" terminal of the breaker? How does this work on 2 pole breakers for 240v...

    GFCI Breakers

I have a 17 year old pool and am upgrading the electrical in my subpanel to GFCI breakers. I am able to wire electrical directly from my subpanel to my new Pentair VS pump with a 20 amp 2 pole GFCI breaker without going through the pool control panel. This main pump has its own separate...

    Pool Light

Now for an even bigger challenge- the main pool light. We tore down our house completely on the existing lot and built new, which was a 2 year project. We moved back in 1 year ago. We kept the pool, but had all new landscaping installed in the back including some retaining walls. The main pool...

    Pool Light

Thanks for the information. I took off the junction box and had about 6 inches of wire there, but grabbing this pliers and pulling with all my might did nothing except slowly tear up the wires. I tried pumping wire lubricant etc down into it. After I posted the question I found a prior response...

    Pool Light

I have an inground pool that is 17 years old and am trying to replace my burned out pool and spa light with Pentair LED. There is 1/2 inch conduit coming up to a junction box about 15 feet from the spa light. I can move the existing wiring back and forth a few inches but absolutely no further...
