i just thought that pump being above water line will dump water back into the pool due to gravity...but what you're saying is that if the system doesnt have any leak, water should stay where they are??

hey dirk, ive done all of that & then some... no leak. Will leak(s) below ground create bubbles in the pump basket? What about pump cavitation?

that is correct. my pp has the relay for the pump. but i wasnt sure about turning on/off power to the swcg to control the pump. thanks!!

Hi my pump power is fed from swg. I switch on/off the device to control pump, such as when cleaning pump basket, backwashing, etc.My main concern is if theres any detrimental effect on the longevity of the swg, doing it this way.

So is that a good test kit? I had a complete test kit so many moons ago I don’t remember. I just replenish as needed. I use drops I can test for fc, ph, alkalinity, cya, salt.
