The brightness of the stairs is blinding me.....

I used a line level also along with a long boards and 4 ft level... still was off by about 2.5 inches... Not as easy it looks. Mine was about 26 inch fall over 14 ft before leveling. Now that's a good idea. Where can you rent one of these?

Sorry for the situation! The sooner you do the shock the faster it'll go. (and the cheaper it'll be) Yeah, holding with whatever is cheapest is best... once you hit the CH level you are going for. Also, depending on water cost it may be cheaper to just drain some of the pool to lower CYA so...

When only considering FC level it is "safe" to swim up to shock level. As for being able to properly shock, that will not be possible with your current testing equipment. Also, just bringing the FC level to ~40 is not shocking, you need to hold it there, which will take much more chlorine...

I would definitely get some blocks under the legs. It'll only get worse. Make sure the legs are level left / right along the side of the pool. In / out from the pool a little is kind of expected if the ground isn't 100% level. That should make it level enough. Looks like your tiki torch should...

Alright, so test results in. I got the K-2006. Only thing new I've added is ~30 ounces of borax. I'll start off by saying I know that a 10+ FC can give a high PH reading, but I went ahead and did it anyway since it was so close. FC 11.5 CC <0.5 PH 6.9-7 (With one drop of Base demand I got to...
