The abalone made all the difference in the world in my pool. It gives the most beautiful sparkle and shine!!! If you can get the builder to come down on price, it is totally worth it. Not sure if the brand makes a difference.

Are you trying to find someone for warranty purposes? If you haven't purchased a salt cell yet and are able to install yourself, I don't believe owner installation affects the warranty of the Circupool salt generators. My husband installed ours no problem. We love this cell. Works GREAT!

I have the added glass beads and abalone in mine. The abalone is absolutely beautiful!!! So sparkly. I barely notice the touch of glass.

Same thing happened to my cousin- the cracked look and mottling. She had the Midnight Blue Quartzscapes installed. PB said it was an issue with installation by the plaster crew. They ended up redoing the entire thing. It looks a lot better.
