    Mixture of pipe size question...

*setup: 2 suction pipes out of the ground (skimmer & vaccuum) to a Jandy leading into the pump. 2 return pipes (water feature & return jets) split off of another Jandy back into the ground. As I began my PVC/Pump replacement project, I always assumed both my pressure (visible) and suction...

About to begin new install, H-Depot plumber threw me a curveball...HELP!

Okay, man that's a relief. Now I can return the 8 frigging reducers. The guidance is much appreciated! Thanks.

About to begin new install, H-Depot plumber threw me a curveball...HELP!

Okay I appreciate that. Luckily, I'm also replacing the Jandys, and yes, they are 1.5" & 2" compatible valves. Last question (sorry) but at the return Jandy, do I want 2" out of the Jandy then couple to the 1.5" in-ground returns or send everything after the diverter back at 1.5" (basically rhe...

About to begin new install, H-Depot plumber threw me a curveball...HELP!

Glad I'm not crazy...all I could do is scratch my head. Based on my suction picture below, can you recommend a way to go from 1.5" to 2"? As you can see, once I couple 1.5" to 2", I won't have much room left before the 2" elbow to Jandy. Would it still be best to being 2" pipes into the...

About to begin new install, H-Depot plumber threw me a curveball...HELP!

I went to get the 2" pipe to begin rebuilding my pad plumbing ahead of a new pump install (various leaks at the pad plumbing). Currently, I have 2 1.5" pipes (skimmer and vacuum) leading into a Jandy that feeds the 1HP pump, a mix of 1.5" and 2" pipe/elbows/reducers into a 2" multiport, a...

PVC size advice - NEW pump install (pics)

I took this advice. Looking at my setup and all the additional 90 elbows involved, I decided to stick with the push/pull. Saved about $100 this way too. Since my old 1HP ran at 3450 RPM all the time, is it safe to say that a 2HP running at 3450 will be the same GMP? Increasing form 1.5" to 2"...

PVC size advice - NEW pump install (pics)

Push/pull is leaking so thats a must. MPV does sound like a better option. I'll leave the existing Jandy's and use 2" where I can. Thanks!

PVC size advice - NEW pump install (pics)

I appreciate the input. So the cost of 2 new Jandy's and a new push/pull valve outweigh sticking with the existing plumbing? Going to run around $350 to upgrade just the valves/PVC.

PVC size advice - NEW pump install (pics)

Tomorrow I am installing a new 2HP variable speed pump to replace my old 1HP single speed. I'll explain the set up, but for now, juat note that both suction and return lines are 1.5" PVC. I'll add pictures because there is a LOT of reducing and 1.5"-2" and vice versa... SUCTION: - 1.5" Cleaner...
