M500 needs new climbing rings. Anything else I should replace?

I replaced my brushes, belts and rings on my 5 year old M400. I figured if i was going to take it all apart I would do all three. Works great.

Any advice on handrails for inground pool?

I used EZ Anchors a few years ago to avoid the bonding issue. Works great with my cover. Drop in and screw tight but usually don't. I did rent a core drill to drill two 3" holes. Easier than expected. https://www.troublefreepool.com/threads/installing-handrail.213810/#post-1872242...

    Large leak after opening

I had a similar issue last year. Start with die test around light, skimmer, returns, etc. Then a leak detection company if you can't find it and go from there. On mine it was the return fitting bulkheads, 2 of 3 cracked. Had to cut concrete and replace the fittings.

    Spa issue due to freezing

Update; New recirculating pump installed. Found a leak on the another hose but just needed hose clamp tightened. Some drips under the heater that are a concern. Don't know if it's residual water form the hose clamp leak or a crack in the heater housing. Heater is working along with...

    Spa issue due to freezing

Makes sense, didn't think about the seal. I guess I'm concerned about the T cracking if the water is heated. But, I guess I should stop speculating and just get the new pump in, fill it up and go from there.

    Spa issue due to freezing

So I have a "chicken or egg" scenario here. Went out of town for a few weeks and knew I would be changing the water when I returned so I didn't mind missing weekly checks. Done it before, no issues. When I went to drain my spa it was empty. Checked breakers and one of two were tripped. There...

    Winter cover

I have a model ll that I use as a winter cover for the last 20 years. But, for the last two years, I have been putting a large disposable tarp over it held down around the edges by water bags to extend the life of the cover. I just leave the pump on top of the tarp. A big benefit for me is...

Removed heater, do I need to disable something at control board?

I also would not leave the wires just taped. You didn't specify if they were inside a water proof junction box or just laying on the ground.

    Brown stains on fiberglass pool

What type of salt were you using? I've been using Morton's solar salt (blue bag) for 20 years and never had any issues with staining.

Dirt in cover channel jammed under rope. SOLVED

Well I fixed it. I figured I would have to remove the rope so I had nothing to lose trying to get the rope out of the track. I was able to pry it up and out, it turned out to be about 3" of compacted dirt. had to break it up with a screw driver then suck it out. Rope went back in when I...

Dirt in cover channel jammed under rope. SOLVED

I had a leak, documented in another thread, and now some of the dirt from the concrete repair has found itself in the cover track and jammed the rope up. I took precautions and duct taped over the track but the guys must have swept or washed some dirt in. I've tried pressure washer and...
