Wiring Pentair Pump with Jandy controller

Hi All- We just moved to a new state and bought a house that has a pool that was just installed within the last 2 years or so. According to the previous owner (and pool builder, who I spoke to) they have never been able to get the controller to communicate with the pump. So the pump just has...

FC and pH issues with salt water pool

Thanks- I can add some liquid chlorine tomorrow, and start draining Thursday afternoon. I will need to buy some more salt as my salt levels will undoubtedly be way too low also.... Wondering about just draining half the pool so I'm not wasting time and chemicals doing it more than once?

FC and pH issues with salt water pool

Thanks- I just followed the CYA test instructions in my kit..... I added pool water + R-0013, then poured it into the CYA view tube slowly until I couldn't see the black dot in the bottom anymore. The markings on the side of the black dot cylinder were at a fluid level of 110.... I was...

FC and pH issues with salt water pool

Hi all- This is my first year with a salt water pool. Long story short, the pool was originally salt water but when we bought the house 10 years ago as a foreclosure, I knew nothing about pools and pool guy convinced me to just use chlorine tabs. I live in the middle of nowhere and 3 pool guys...

    Adding Pool Solar

Thank you! After reading this, I went outside tonight and took off the panel. Sure enough, its just like you said. This couldn't be easier. I also just realized that the wiring diagram for the intellitouch panel is printed right there on the inside door of the panel haha.... I am going to...

    Adding Pool Solar

I am planning to add pool solar soon. I already purchased the rooftop panels and plumbing/connectors/check valves to make all the plumbing connections. But I need to figure out the auto valve actuator and temp sensors before I start cutting into the plumbing. I have a Pentair Intellitouch i7...

    Converting BACK to Salt Water

Pool guy estimated it at that when I bought the house.... But I have done my best estimation also by measuring average width/length/depth of all 3 sections and I come up with 40-42k also.

    Converting BACK to Salt Water

Ok- I just ordered a “TF-Pro *Salt with SmartStir”. Looks like it should have everything I could possibly need? My location is Logandale, Nevada. About 60 miles east of Las Vegas. Pool is about 40k gallons, gunnite, with Pentair equipment. We are at about 1400’ elevation. My house is in...

    Converting BACK to Salt Water

Thanks everyone! Apparently I haven't really learned enough here yet... I do have a test kit, but the label is missing so I don't know which one it is. It's just one I bought at Leslie's - and it doesn't test for CYA levels. So I honestly have no idea what my current CYA level is. I just...

    Converting BACK to Salt Water

Hi all- I bought a foreclosed house with a pool about 10 years ago. When I bought it, I hired a pool guy who came and looked at things and told me the salt water generator was burned out and would need to be replaced at a cost of $1400 (it was a Pentair IC40). He recommended just converting it...
