Ok, so since this issue started when I put the new cell in I went ahead and put the old cell and old cable back on and now it doesn't blow the fuse but now it says "Purifier Off; Pwr Control Error" I tried searching for power control error and didn't find much..

I have some experience troubleshooting and repairing circuits. I'll be taking the board off today - any areas I should focus on?

I did. They said I need a new board. Was hoping to find a way to fix this other than replacing the board....

I do not have a salt test kit but before I replaced the cell we had the water tested. I don't remember the exact number but the salt was normal.
