    Adding Timer...

Ok, my pool doesnt have a timer and I am thinking about adding a simple Intermatic timer. The question is which one? 110v and I have a single speed pump. Next year will upgrade to a Salt Chlorinator and new pump. Any thoughts? Doe it really matter as long as its the correct voltage

Pool Heater, Home Warranty w/pool coverage

No water bypass. I am pretty handy and not afraid to blow the line out and clean out the burners. Also, I just read the pool heater/pump add on policy and it mentions the warranty is only valid for working equipment on transfer. The previous owner said the heater worked but that was years...

Pool Heater, Home Warranty w/pool coverage

A bit of a long story here, we bought a house late August with IG pool. The house came with a 1yr full HomeOwners warranty with Pool heater/pump additional coverage. Was a bear to get the pool up and clear but I did it (thanks to everyone here) and we enjoyed it until the cold weather came...

Newbie and bad weather (ice and snow) with solid cover?

No winterizing yet. Anything near freezing(which we only a had a few nights near it) I run the pool. The water is crystal clear for now. The pool level is normal level(mid skimmer). I put the pool cover on to keep as many of the leaves out as possible. I still have most of my oak trees with...

Newbie and bad weather (ice and snow) with solid cover?

We are having our first winter mix here in Charlotte, NC. I have a solid mesh cover with loop locks/springs. The cover is sagging in the center and hitting the water with the snow and ice. Is it okay...I am I worrying for nothing?

Yes, another first timer closing with questions (NorthCarolina)

Thank you! Do you do a full close (lower below skimmer, blow lines, plug etc)?

Yes, another first timer closing with questions (NorthCarolina)

Ok...so I have read pages of posts and read the pool school closing (Pool School - Closing an In Ground Pool) I guess I am confused at what the proper protocol is. I have been told by 2 different people 2 different methods. One says, basically, SLAM, plug, blow lines, remove drain plugs from...

What to do? Hurricane/Tropical Storm IG pool Prep?

All is good from Flo. Putting the pool cover saved me a few times. Large branches and more debris than expected. Winds weren't to bad but we had just under 11" of rain at our house. I drained the pool just below the skimmer and had to drain once more during a down poor. Now, same thing cant...

What to do? Hurricane/Tropical Storm IG pool Prep?

Thanks everyone! So should I put the pool cover on or leave it off? We secured everything around it. The pool came with a pool cover and spring loop locs(the cover is a little brittle but works). The cover would help with debris and tree limbs (we are surrounded by giant oaks and trees) but...
