You forgot one thing that TFP teaches you: Check and adjust the PH to between 7.2 and 7.5. The PH test isn't reliable during SLAMing so make sure to take care of this before you start. So keep in mind that your readings are off. Do not add too too much Muriatic Acid

That's right. Pool store testing was mostly wrong in many threads that I have read. Green color almost guarantees you still have algae. You need to test yourself and then SLAM the pool as per TFP. What are the test results from the pool store? Can you post photos of the pool?
