Still CLEAR GREEN water after shocking for days.

Just in case someone with the same problem as mine comes along you may want to know that adding the sequestrant cleared up the problem in about 3 days of running the pump often and backwashing the darkest water ever! It is now sparkling clear. As a side note, I went with a friend of mine to have...

Still CLEAR GREEN water after shocking for days.

I wonder if hickory nuts could have changed the pool chemistry. I kept most of them out last fall but about 15 or so were in there all winter. I'll keep the chlorine up till I meet #'s 1 & 2 and get a sequestrant asap. Thanks for all the help! S.

Still CLEAR GREEN water after shocking for days.

I learned about the BBB method last year and it worked fabulously for me until now. I just don't get why my water is still a clear green color after shocking for days. It looks like a pool full of Mountain Dew! I thought it should have turned cloudy by now. Here are my numbers: CYA-30 PH-7.5 FC-...

    What do I do first?

Thanks guys!! This site is fantastic and that pool calculator is REALLY neat. Following your advice till the TF-50 test kit with Salt Test Strips arrive. Then I guess I follow the procedure in the Water Balance for SWG's article. Things are starting to make a little more sense now. Thanks for...

    What do I do first?

My 24' Intex swg pool is about full, but I don't know what to put in first. The salt? I have a cheap Walmart pool tester that tests for PH which is 6.8 right now, clorine and bromine (whick I haven't tested). Do I need to get a better test kit? If so, what should I put in the pool till it gets...
