Dolphin s300i removing from pool. Can i pull it up by the cord?

I feel like i shouldn't pull it up by the cord but i can't think of an easier more obvious way to get it out of the pool once its done cleaning. What do others do?

    Brand new Dolphin S300i issues

Bought a brand new S300i Friday after reading great reviews here. Follwed the quick start guide to the letter when I dropped it in the pool Saturday. First cycle started OK but stopped after the first hour. When I cycle the power it would run for aprox. 30 seconds, moving only backwards then...

Old pool new to me - advice appreciated

Can clearly see wrinkles in the deep end now. Went for a swim last night. We also put the solar blanket on for the first time last night (because the swim was cold). And let the pump have a rest. I'm going to start running it 8 hours a day (from 6AM till 2PM) I hope that doesn't create any new...

    My First Pool

There's a spot in Quebec that sells the K2006 for about $150. By the time you pay for a US PO box and drive back and forth it's not worth the time/money/hassle to order to the states. Struggling to find a borate test kit in Canada right now though...

    My First Pool

I entered 10.3% (active chlorine content) and it's worked fine. But given the high FC levels associated with shocking my pool maybe that's been conservative and lead to slight over-chlorination. Pretty sure bleach is exactly the same chemical as pool chlorine (or commercially available sodium...

    My First Pool

I can relate to difficulty finding cheap concentrated bleach in Canada (I'm nearby in Georgetown). I bought a bunch of this from Canadian tire http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/aquarius-liquid-chlorine-5-l-0813327p.html#.U5cc5HJdW1s and the label says 10.3%. The pool companies are also pretty...

Update: Tried to hold at/above shock level (25) for 9 days and the pool is blue but remains cloudy. Yesterday morning I could successfully make out a rubber washer dropped into the shallow end, but definitely can't see the wrinkles in the deep end (wrinkles are another problem for another...

    Deep Cleaning a Sand Filter

Is there a way to overflow the filter without pouring water all over the place? My filter is in a pool shed with wooden floors (and questionable electrical that I still need to sort out). I don't feel safe overflowing the filter onto the floor.

Update: Canada post tracking said the test kit wasn't supposed to show up until Monday (today) and impatient as I am, I took a sample to the local pool store last Thursday. They tested and found the alkalinity very low, the PH a bit low and everything else pretty close to where it needed to be...

Just ordered 80 Litres of Chlorine from a farm supply company. $13 CAD / 20L jug of 12% seemed like a pretty good deal.
