Pentair IntelliPH Installation & Acid Injection Point

But is there any detriment to putting it behind the SWG? In 3+ years with the last iChlor I never had any scale on the plates, so hence my hesitation to replumb if that's the only benefit. Again, I'll do what's right if there's a reason not to put it behind the SWG but if it's just for scale...

Pentair IntelliPH Installation & Acid Injection Point

Ahultin, I just replaced the iChlor yesterday. It went in the same spot as the existing one. I can't flip up the existing elbow since then the Flowvis would be pointing right at the wall. I could do essentially what you suggest and purchase a new quick coupler out of the filter, flip it up...

    Done with Pentair LED’s?

I have the Florida Sunseeker retrofit color changing screw in lamps for my 12v SpaBrites and have had no issues with them for about 5 years now!

Pentair IntelliPH Installation & Acid Injection Point

Hello All, I finally bit the bullet and since I had to replace my iChlor30 this week, figured I'd finally go ahead and add the Pentair IntelliPH system as well. Now that it's arriving tomorrow, I figured I'd finalize some details and I discovered 2 potential issues with installation which I'm...

    Bad Cell or Power Center?

Jim, I purchased from the link you provided in the post, at Polytec Pools. Ordered late Sunday night, it arrived first thing Tuesday morning. Can't beat that.

    Bad Cell or Power Center?

Replacement cell resolved the issue. Also took care of the fact that I have not received any salt level indication in Easytouch for the past few years. Thanks for the help!

    Bad Cell or Power Center?

Thanks for the help Jim! I'll go ahead and order a new cell and update here with the resolution for reference.

    Bad Cell or Power Center?

I was thinking that when you connect the cell it would pull more amps since the voltage is lower and thus pop the fuse. The fuse remains good if the cell is disconnected. It's a bummer there's not a better way to troubleshoot these rather than just buy new products and see which works. I'm not...

    Bad Cell or Power Center?

I have a Pentair iChlor 30 that is just under 5 years old (installed Aug 2018). Today I noticed that no lights were on and my FC was way down. Went ahead and replaced the Power Center fuse (10a mini blade) and the new one instantly blew. Fuse remains good when the cell is disconnected. I know...

    Muriatic Acid Container / Dispensor

The deep end return (I only have 2) is located in the area of the red arrow. So the back 1/3rd of the pool is all raised and that's why I have to kneel down and over the edge to pour at the water line and not have it splash by pouring higher. I didn't realize that I could add MA to the shallow...

    Muriatic Acid Container / Dispensor

Does anyone know of any type of small container / dispenser for MA? I have to dose my pool 1-2 times a week and dread the task because of the struggle with the gloves, mask, & goggles, before measuring out everything then slowing adding in front of deep end return. Part of the challenge is my...

    New Pebble Startup Questions

I've got PH Increaser and TA Increaser and started with adding a significant amount (40oz) of the PH boost last night to no effect. The color may have gotten very slightly more orange but only barely. I was hoping the PH increaser would also raise my TA but it is reading 0 still. Tested tap...

Also, the heater is off but not bypassed. I do not have a heater bypass. I mentioned this to the pool company and they stated as long as it remained off it would be fine.

    New Pebble Startup Questions

Allen, That article confirms they have begun an acid startup on this pool. Is there anything I can do to reverse this effect? I don't want to damage the new plaster right off the bat! The very low PH (I was guessing at 6.5 but it is extremely yellow - likely closer to the 4.5 like the article...
