Repair Jacuzzi filter or replace it

No luck finding Jacuzzi parts so I opted for a new filter setup. Family Leasure has a eco Kleer 22" with 1.5 motor. The only problem I see so far is that, eco kleer recomends that the filter be placed no more than 5 feet from the pool. My old filter is 23 feet from the skimmer and 21 feet from...

Repair Jacuzzi filter or replace it

I have a crack at the pressure gauge port and water running down the side of the multi port valve on my filter. I can try finding another multiport or replace the whole filter. Because Jacuzzi 190L parts are getting rare, I'm thinking a new filter is in order. If I can not find a new valve, how...

    Esther Williams liner replacement

Well the temps were right this weekend for changing the liner and most all went well. With the new liner, skimmer box and return on hand, I pumped water out removed old liner, repaired floor imperfections. Laid out the new liner and it fit the floor fine. The seams fit the floor/wall corner...

    Esther Williams liner replacement

I will be installing a liner in my Esther Williams above ground, beaded 18x33x50 soon. Approximately 30” in ground, on one end and 24” on the other. The liner was ordered last month and it arrived last week. I know that I have some work to do on the pool floor because it has washouts where it...

Weird Colored Water - Seafoam Green

My water has changed colors and shades of color for the past 3 weeks. Green, dark green, light green, whiteish green, light blue and now I can see the bottom but water is still not clear. It just takes TIME for the filter to do it's job when the water gets out of balance. I keep thinking it's...

    can't see pics

One post that blocks pics is "Wierd Colored Water-Seafoam Green", posted by Fancypants in the Testing and Balancing Your Water section. Strange, by the time I typed this reply, the pic of Fancypant's pool appeared. Maybe my computer takes time to load the pics and displays the message untill then.

I'm not sure which posts they were. I have been all over this place reading for several weeks, and now that I ask why, I can't find them. Pretty sure they were in the Pumping Station somewhere. If I see it agian, I'll reply. Thanks for now.

Peculiar problem of vacuum hose crimping

If the hose has been stepped on or kinked, it can and probably will collapse.

My sand is "channeled" how to fix it?

I would suggest plugging the lateral stand pipe, maybe wire tie a baggie over it. I don't think sand in the stand pipe is a good thing.

How accurate is my turnover estimation?

I would guess that there is a formula for finding the turnover rate for a given pool and it's components. But is there a way to measure the actual turnover in my pool?

    77shovelhead's first test results

I was going to hold off on changing anything till the water clears up more. Vacuuming, brushing, backflushing daily and keeping the chlorine about the same was all I was going to do, unless I'm missing something.
