Now comes the fun of watching the cuts and stone to make sure they are "pretty" and not in a hurry.

Kim

I am going to feel really bad for the PB and subs that someday build your dream pool, Kim :D Whoever those folks may be, they have no idea what's in store for them. There's some poor schlep of a PB out there who has no idea what he's about to get hit with. Don't get me wrong, the future and long-awaited kimkats pool build thread will be epic (as the kids say) and I'll be popping a bowl of popcorn while watching it unfold, but man those folks have no idea about the steam train heading their way....

MANY have been fooled by the "act"! LOL

You KNOW I was ON my roof while they were working on it making sure they replaced the wood that needed it. THEY caused that on their own........I over heard one of them say "Oh just leave it. They will never notice." Oh adult word NO! They found out REAL fast I can/will climb a ladder and oh so sweetly ask what they were working on. The looks on their faces when they saw me see the rotten wood they were just going to cover up! LOL The foreman showed up about 15 mins later to ask me how things were going. "Oh just fine now! You need to bring some more wood though."

You can also buy some artificial turf to put down on that area. Just stake it down good on the edges. It will help block weeds and keep the dirt in one place!

Kim

Thought about that, even thought about the expensive artificial lawns but with two big dogs, the urine would be too powerful. I'll prob just deal with the dirt till Feb when I plant Buffalo grass

That's a spectacular picture - that sky!!!!! Wowzers - what great water color you're going to have with skies like that!

Your deck is gorgeous!!! It makes such a huge difference to get the decking in place. I love travertine! I didn't want to pay for it, but oh so glad I did. I love everything about it. How it looks, how it feels, and how easy on the feet it is. It's the first time in years I've wanted to go barefoot!

I also love having it for the coping. It's cool and easy to grab onto when I'm in the pool.

I can't wait to see the whole overview shot when the deck is finished!!!

Take care,
Suz.

Yes the big builders really run you through the ringer. For everything!! I was talking to one of the subs about the interior and although true pebbletec does have the trained installers etc etc. it is over double the cost of mini pebble. The guy was telling me that the pebbles are exactly the same! Mini pebble is $13 dollars a bag and $27 a bag for pebbletec and you cannot tell the difference.
