Yet another Texas pool build!

They are still cranking along. They cut the pavers on the far deck, installed caps on the wall, and started the close in deck. Now they are out of materials. Hopefully they come tomorrow. I guess normally they are out of Dallas but they didn't have any in Dallas. So who knows where they are getting them from. This is due to the design change and subbing all that cement for pavers.

What great shots! The decking is looking tremendous! I feel like I'm out in a stoney area of the Hill Country!

I think even your backyard is smiling now!
Suz.

Thanks Suz! I really like how it is turning out. Hopefully not too much longer on the paver work.

I am so in love with that stone! I have never seen anything like it! WOW!

Is it a "set" I think I see some that are the same but turned different.

Kim

They come like this. They are all exactly the same shape. They have different grooves in them to make them look different. I think there are at least 4 groove patterns and they go together like a clover pattern. I don't know how else to describe it. They definitely are harder to put together than square or rectangle patterns. When I was watching them put the far deck together they were constantly having to turn them to see what way they fit.

That is an awesome looking paver.
Man your plaster will have real competition on what catches the eye in your yard now.

Haha I hope it isn't too busy. I didn't expect the pavers to be as noticeable as they are. They definitely stick out. I like them though.

Ditto on the pavers! Love them! So unique! What are they called?

They are called Mega Arbel by Belgard. The color is Danville Beige.

I just had to look at your pavers again! Man those are neat!

I also looked at where they meet the pool. Those cuts look great! There is NO way the old crew could have done that work. I am glad they found this new group!

Tell your wife to get them some cold water and gatoraide and cookies as a thank you!

Tell me about it... They are doing such a great job. We actually have been giving water and Gatorade to the workers since before this crew started. I think that was part of the frustration is they would tell us a day they were showing up and we would lug the ice, water, and Gatorade into the back yard and then they wouldn't end up showing up. We would repeat that over and over again. I got the idea from Suz when she got plastered that one day and decided we should do that too for our crews. I doubt my wife will be making cookies :) We have been trying so hard to eat healthy and the smell would probably do us in.

Wow, that's an amazing look. Haven't seen that used before. Looks awesome!

Thanks I am thrilled with it. I wanted something that could withstand salt with little maintenance so that drove me to the paver idea. I couldn't have imagined how good it would turn out.

With the Blue Smurf, glass beads, and those pavers you are going to have a show stopping pool!! This will be one your builder will want to show everyone!

I am guessing that will happen since we are so close to the showroom. We'll have to see what happens. I know the sales manager has already told me he is going to bring out a professional photographer to take shots after my pool is done. We'll see if that happens.

Love the decking. Never seen anything like that!

Thanks!

LMHO!!! It's always great to laugh out loud when you're alone - the true test of getting a real belly laugh!

"Quick, give your wife the phone!"

Hmmmm, I'm guessing you're in Hawaii? Vegas? Hollywood? Just kidding.

My best guess is London? I've never been abroad, so I could be wrong. No matter, I'm envious of your travels!!

Thanks for posting!
Suz.... still laughing - out loud!

Yep London is right!

I'll be back there in November but it will be cold and I will be complaining I am sure. I just booked my flight for Berlin and London. I hope I don't have to fly all over the world to get home this time. We shall see.
