Great thread... can't wait to see the test results and updated pictures. On a side note, if your pool store carries liquid chlorine, it may make sense to purchase that (depending on the price) when you are SLAMing. It's usually 12%, so you only need half as much as the 6% stuff. Easier to store and transport too. My pool store has 12% 5 gallon jugs for $13.
they close before I can get by there on a normal basis. I have been using 8.25%. I could go to the pool store close to work, but it is a small town and I am concerned about buying 3yo liquid chlorine. Thanks for the tip though.

I did! And was so very happy when I got home tonight to see the deep end so clearly! I'm going to skip brushing and vac'ing tonight, so I can read the instructions on the kit. It is hard to believe a week ago this thing looked like somebody killed Slimer in it. I tried to watch the holy grail with my wife, and I had to fast forward to the black knight then just turn it off. When I was 16 I was crying laughing. Grow up and it's like wth was I laughing at. This is so stupid. Still kinda funny though.
