Hello all, I have a IntelliFlo VS-3050 pump with a screaming motor at the end of last season. I’d like to replace it.

Could you please help me with the equivalent 3hp variable speed pump that I should purchase?
The pump runs in ground pool with a connected spa hot tub.
The IntelliFlo VS-3050 pump worked great and it was an old hand me down. I’m ready to replace.
I appreciate all of your help. Looking to purchase this weekend (online I figure).

Thanks,
Dave

The 3050 is a very old pump, circa 2009.

The input and output dimensions are not readily available (at least for the plumbing).

I would replace with Intelliflo3 3hp, which may require some re-plumbing:

I "third" that recommendation. I have now had the Intelliflo 3HP VSF for 3 years and wish I had done it sooner. When you DIY, put the savings into top-notch equipment and you will never regret it.

Thank you all for confirming the Intelliflo3 3hp pump! Do I need anything other than the pump? I see automation controls, etc. I'm hoping the pump has a control board on it, and that is all I need. Please correct me if there is something else I need.

@PoolStored The pump connections look relatively the same. The pump might be a bit smaller or larger physically, but I plan on redoing the plumbing from my manifold to the sand filter anyway, so shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for pointing it out though!

@Jimrahbe The pump on PolyTech Pools says in store purchase only. I'm nowhere near Vegas! Will they ship?

What automation are you currently using?

db,

If you call, they consider that an "In-house" sale, rather than an Internet sale..

Worst case, you waste a phone call..

You will have to adjust the output position, so a little plumbing will be necessary with the IntelliFlo3..

Not sure if the IntelliFlo3 comes with pump unions, but I suggest that you NEVER mount a pump without them..

Does your current pump have unions??? Show us a pic..

Thanks,

Jim R.
