Pool rail woes

Ok, so I need some McGuyver-level assistance. The hardware to my pool rail rusted out over last year and is no longer available. The rail is a very smallish Swan pool rail that apparently is old enough that it’s no longer being made anymore.

Besides that, I’m finding it difficult to replace because the base is so small that newer ones don’t fit the hole I have. It’s about 5 inches between the two rails at the base and most rails I can find are about 8 inches between the rails at the base.

Is there a hardware solution to this to use my old rail? If I shop for a new one, how do I find one that fits my rail hole that carved out of stone around my pool and can’t be enlarged?

Show us pictures of the rail sockets in the deck.

Bring the rail to a metalworking shop and have them fabricate a new rail meeting those dimensions. They must source the correct size stainless steel and then make a few bends.

What did the hardware look like, or do you have the specs on it?

McMaster Carr (www.mcmaster.com) has a tremendous selection of hardware and who I will usually use to get hard to find hardware. You can filter by material, thread size, diameter, length, and pretty much any other characteristic you can think of.

Also could see if you have a Fastenal or other industrial fastener store near you that may be able to source it.
