New member trying to break old pool store habits and find an inexplicable source of copper...

Test FC, CC in the morning BEFORE sunrise.
Subscribed to pool math and loaded data from my scribbles into app. Was not able to get out there before sunrise. Was awake at 4am and should've tested then. My data is in the app. From 8:25pm to 7am FC went from 11.5 to 9.0. Continuing SLAM. Here is today's photo. Clear water and can see complete slope.

Do you have distilled water? Fill the pH tube 1/2 way with distilled water, then fill the rest with pool water. Test and post picture of pH.

Go to pool math, gear in upper right, scroll to bottom and enable sharing with TFP.

Half distilled water. I checked both of the options on the sharing on the app.

Thanks.

If you can clearly see the bottom of the pool, then yes. You need to be able to see a person on the bottom to retrieve them. This is for safety.

For swimmer comfort, you might raise pH to 7.2/7.4 with 20 mule team.

Thanks of the support. It's been a ride.
The people here genuinely LOVE helping people get the perfect pool water. Especially with a member like you communicating, adding the pictures, doing what is discussed without secretly relapsing into following pool store instructions. It takes a little time and effort, but you will have the best swimming water out of anyone you know and after this initial dial in, it will usually be easy and kind of boring. Then you eventually make pool friends here and help other newbies.

Golden question.. is it swimmable?
So some eyes may sting a little if the Ph is off range either way, but here's the thing. Its expected in everybody else's gross pool. At worst, its normal. With everything else in line it may still be better than anyone else's. :ROFLMAO:

If they do sting a little, it'll be a nice reminder about how the other half live to keep you focused going forward.

I did raise pH before swimming. As pool stored as we have been, we've had our times of stinging eyes for sure. Know better, do better.
