Should I just pour out liquid chlorine into the pool while my pump is broken to prevent the pool from becoming too green?

Hello everyone,

I tried starting the pool pump today for the first time since winter, but it’s not working. But that's a separate issue.

The pool is rapidly turning green.
Should I pour liquid chlorine into the pool and manually mix it with a pole to slow algae growth while waiting to fix the pump (which could take weeks)? Or would this be a waste of time and chlorine?

Kind regards,
Pavel

Pour 5ppm of liquid chlorine in daily until you can begin the SLAM Process,

At least 1 gallon of 12% liquid chlorine in your pool daily.

Nope. It will keep the algae problem getting bigger.
