Hi. Opened today to some organic material that blew under cover over winter not too terrible and some cloudy water but not green. Filter cleaned DE added , chems added. Spill over spa flow was going strong for a few hours and then slowed like it does when it’s time backwash with the PSI on gauge up to 18 after staring at 12. Could I have to backwash this quickly?

A pic of what it looked like when the cover came off. And then a few hours later. Could it be Pollen quickly clogging the DE filter? It was very very windy today with pollen flying everywhere.

Got it thanks. Going to do the OCLT test and see where I am at in the morning. Is it ok to run the filter all night with the slower flow?
Yes.

Get the FC between 3 and 10 after sunset and then test before sunrise.

My CYA was between 40-50 I hate the black dot at the bottom of the tube. Not conducive to my 70 year old eyes.
We round up. Call it 50 and move on.
