So I was looking through the B.P.t.B.L.C post the other day after someone had asked about a specific state, and I realized with 74 pages going back 9+ years, most of the detail in there was probably only of historic value, and it was really hard to find relevant information. So, being an engineer, I figured there might be a better way, and came up with the following based on that thread plus some basic digging around.

My thought is people can reply to the thread with updates, and I will update the table with the latest information and replace the image so that it's easy to find and reference.
Open to suggestions, comments, additional data, etc.

North Carolina has the same 10% for $5.67 at Walmart. Also is it a good idea to list membership clubs, especially if there are non-membership stores with low prices. BJs was the only store listed for NC and a good portion of the state does not have a local one. The long drive to a BJs would negate the cost savings.

Thanks, I'll add that.

I think yes in general. A lot of people have those memberships, so if there is a good price there, why not list it ? I wasn't aware BJs was like Costco - we don't have them here. I may add a tag to the name to indicate its a membership type store, but I would suspect people in those states that have them would generally know anyway. Ideally, I'd like to see 3 or 4 places for each State - that way there are some options. Of course, people need to provide the detail - I have no idea what is available in North Carolina ;) I also decided to 'highlight' sale prices (like the Menard's rebate) as those might be temporary, or involve more hassle. Again, relies on people giving the detail

I went back about a year in the old post to start filling in the chart, as I felt any prices before that were probably out of date anyway, so that's probably the only entry I found for NC. It's going to be impossible to be perfect for everyone. I could dedicate a whole page per state, and list everywhere anyone could find, but it would become unmanageable pretty quickly. If you don't have a BJs/Costco/Sams Club membership, or Walmart or Rural King is a long drive, then maybe your current source of LC is better...and maybe you should post it in case it helps others :) The chart can be expanded for as many entries as we need...I just wanted to get the detail in a simpler, easier to use format.

Bottom line, I have no way to really capture the best overall price for every person in every state - best I can do is tell you it was $6.25 at BJs a year ago, and $5.67 at Walmart this week...based on what people tell me :)

When i click the Google link and it opens the app, it says unavailable but when I open it in a browser, it says its available.
Mine stocks the 2 or so pallets that fit the shelf and then doesn't replace it, while they do keep the rest of the aisle going all summer.

You may have to try a couple of them and the app/online may or may not reflect current stock. Usually it's the other way where (every company) claims to have XYZ but it's buried somewhere up top behind 8 other things and nobody is ever gonna find it that day when you ask. Lol.

I found a chemical supply place in my town. Greenwood, SC. He supplies chemicals to pressure washers, car washes etc. I have been buying LC in 5 gal jugs from him. $20 for 5 gal if I bring the jug back. I think its 12%. Not as convenient as Walmart, but I dont have all those empty jugs to deal with.

Give us the details and I'll add it to the list. Can I take it from your comment that Walmart in SC is also selling LC - guessing 10% @ 5.67/gal ?

I just read that Pinch a Penny is in Gilbert AZ now and looking for more franchisees so we might be able to get their prices soon too.
Northwest corner Higley and Chandler Heights - about 11 miles from me.
I'll have to check it out next time I'm out that way.
