Jan 2025 IG pool build in Georgia, need liner re set!!!!

What's sod going for a foot this year ? I didn't even bother getting a quote in '22 because HomeDepot was selling strips for $10 each and I needed 1/3 of an acre.
Go to a garden center/nursery/or landscape place. Usually much cheaper than big box stores. Around here they sell celebration bermuda for $1 a square about once a year.

$200 a pallet, which covers 500sq ft. I need 11 pallets. Oh, and $300 a pallet to install. But installation includes all the final grading and tying back into the existing grass. So, yes, a crudton of money. Double the budget I had for it, but due to some medical things going on with me, and well... turning into an old man, I'm paying someone. 10 years ago, I would be doing the install myself. Up north on my pool, I just prepped soil, and threw down grass seed. Had a lawn in 1month. Down here seeded Bermuda grass looks horrible, so sod it is
We seed spots with Bermuda occasionally but I have my doubts about the strain that I am actually getting at the co-op lol 😂
Not to mention the full time job that watering Bermuda seed is only to have it not fill out well or die. With water cost & stress costs I think it’s cheaper to sod especially in smallish high traffic areas.

A little update. We dodged a bullet last night, thankfully no tornadoes. What we did have were 50 to 60 mph winds for a few hours. That in turn blew a TON of sand into the pool due to the landscaping not done yet. Pool builder used whatever sand was left for the mortar mix for fill next to the decking...BAD IDEA!!!!!!! Landscapers are supposed to be coming tomorrow to put down sod, and stone around decking, but they might have to wait until end of week, due to the wet soil from the rain which is another annoying thing at this point. I'm getting frustrated with the landscaper, as they originally told me it would be done 2 weeks ago, and calling BS on the soil being mushy. We have clay, and its not that bad, we only had a half inch of rain. Anyway, any ideas on getting the sand out??? Maybe brush into a pile, and scoop as much as i can out, then a final vacuum???

Just take some gentle swipes brushing it to one area. Walk away for a half hour so it can settle and go (gently) hit it again. After a few tries it'll be real easy to vac it to waste.

So I sucked it up(literally:ROFLMAO:) used my regular vacuum. I tried the sweep in a pile. And then dustpan it out, well that was a sht show. I then tried my pool robot, and that too was a disaster. He filled up in 2 mins. I would have had to clean him out maybe 100 times or more. So I went old school. Regular vacuum, into filter. Backwashed vigorously after. Just will need a final robot clean.

We got to enjoy the just about finished project yesterday! Some low voltage lighting, and plants around the perimeter will be done by myself. Just waiting on the final CO inspection, so I can install the heater myself also. I did jump in again though, a bone chilling 62 degrees. Builder installed umbrella holders in decking also, which is a nice touch, just need to pick up some new umbrellas.

I thought you were fencing the perimeter of the yard. Good fences make good neighbors I've read.
Depending on the size of your lot, they can also be quite expensive. The South is much different than the west in that regard, not a lot of fences on really big yards.

We thought about it. But no neighbors behind us. Neighbors to our right already have a privacy fence up. We are hoping the unsold house to the left put up a privacy fence. If they don't, I will be skinny dipping every day until the decide to :ROFLMAO: . Worst case scenario, we will put up a privacy divider on the property line.
