Century (Regal) VGreen motor automation

Ah ok thanks. I was sure I'd seen my basic keypad go back to priming mode after the pump was running and lost prime due to air getting sucked into the skimmer, so I assumed the pump could detect it somehow, but maybe I'm misremembering. And when I saw in the PDF the prime status field, and some prime settings that can be stored, it made me think the pump itself was more involved in the priming process.

I guess I'll stick to detecting it via the power draw then

That could be the case when the motor is running on its controller. When the RS-485 interface is active it takes precedence and the on board controller is not active.
I had a small keypad that was connected to the same RS485 pins. I will try reconnecting it and just reading the modbus messages exchanged with the pump and see if I can figure out if its doing anything differently.

I'd also love to interface with my Aquacal heater and TruClear SWG if anyone knows of any resources to get the protocol details for those
