I'm looking for some guidance regarding a leaking gunite pool in the Atlanta area. The in-ground pool is roughly 25k gallons and is just over 3 years old.
I discovered a leak near the skimmer after about 1.5 years - it was treated as a minor leak (injected with polyurethane, etc.). After another year+ the crack has re-opened. The PB along with the Gunite/Plaster contractor are not willing to warranty the crack due to 'earth movement and settling'. Obviously, I'm disappointed and I'm waiting for them to reassess the crack. This time it will most likely require staples and the possibility of piers.
Does anyone know of a structural engineer in the Atlanta area to help provide insights on possible causes (structural, settling, contruction, etc.) in addition to recommendations on a solution.
Thanks!
