We recently completed our 16,250 gallon saltwater pool. We have a little manganese in our well water and our pool builder used SC-1000 during startup to mitigate the metals. We have been generating chlorine now for a week and all levels seemed to be in good shape. We backwashed the DE filter this evening due to pressure increasing ( mainly because our sod hasn’t grown in completely and the dry sandy soil keeps blowing in the pool). We need to add some water back to the pool so I went to mix metal out that was recommended locally since they do not carry the Orenda products (Regal RGL-50-2720). Before pouring the chemical in the pool, as per the directions I poured the bottle into a bucket of pool water, and it went from the pink color in the bottle to a bright yellow in the bucket. I decided to wait to pour into my pool and emailed the manufacture. Reading on the regal website I see they make a concentrate for salt pools but the product I purchased does not say anything for or against salt pools. Can anyone offer any guidance on that? I don’t want to turn my pool water yellow.
